Sina hails from SHA’s sister organisation, Scientists for Labour, who he represents on the party’s Socialist Societies Executive.  He is Secretary of the SHA Greater London Branch and is active on NHS and community-led campaigns in his home Borough of Kensington & Chelsea, where he is also Vice-Chair of the Constituency Party.

While not dipping into politics, Sina is an undergraduate Biologist at Imperial College London, and his main interest lies in tropical disease control and transmission. His current research explores the effect of aging on the reproductive cycle and fecundity of the yellow fever mosquito (Ae. aegypti), to make inferences for disease epidemiology.

He currently serves as Vice-President of the Royal College of Science Union and is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Scientific Instrument Makers.
