I am very pleased to be rejoining SHA Council after a short absence. I have worked for 40 years or more with patient organisations as Chief Executive of two. I ran a partnership network for 10 years which included working at a national and international level to enable the voices of patients and carers to be heard. I have worked as a patient consultant with a strategic health authority and with many other organisations including Patient Information Forum, Patient Opinion, the Cochrane Collaboration, and the Pharmacy Practice Research Trust.

Cllr Tina Funnell

I was a lay member of the Richard Neale Inquiry, a lay member of the Nursing and Midwifery Council, a Board member of the National Clinical Assessment Authority and am now in my final term as a lay member of the General Pharmaceutical Council.

I moved to York 11 years ago and have been a Councillor for 8 years. We have our elections on the same day as the general election. As a Cllr I have chaired Health Overview and Scrutiny Committee for 3 years, and have worked with many of our health partners. I chair Tang Hall Community Centre where we provide a wide range of activities for local people including debt and housing advice and a food bank.

I am a non executive appointed by City of York Council to Be Independent  a Community Interest Company providing warden call and aides for people in York and the surrounding area.
