CBD oil has become increasingly popular in recent years and is deemed to be one of the fastest growing industries in 2019. The CBD industry has gained more attention in the last few years from those who aim to use the product for both recreational and medicinal purposes.

The CBD market has rocketed and developed massively, which means there are hundreds of new startup companies, all trying to get in on the action. While this may sound like a positive development, a flooded market can sometimes mean that it is difficult for consumers to know where and what they should be buying when looking for the best CBD oil out there. Here are some of the top three things you should be looking out for when buying CBD oil, to ensure that you are buying the best products available.

 More Isn’t Always Better

While getting more for your money may initially sound like a good thing, it can come with its own set of worries and challenges. Every CBD oil product in the industry is different, as various companies will make them in different ways. Therefore, not every CBD oil is equal. Just like you would find in any fast growing market, some products are better than others, and one of the clear indicators of an inferior product is a low price.

If the price or quantity of a CBD oil seems dramatically different to other products you have seen available, then you should ask yourself, why this is? Don’t let marketing strategies such as discount promotions sway you into buying a bog-standard product. Do your research and make sure that you are checking the ingredients before purchasing. (We offer some help on ingredients later!)

Has it Been Tested by An Accredited Laboratory?

You should be looking for evidence that the CBD oil product you are thinking of buying has been tested by a third-party laboratory. If it has then the lab reports should be available for you somewhere on the product’s information or the retailer’s website. If you can’t find any lab report information, then you may want to consider using a retailer that has that information freely available.

There are also some less than professional laboratories out there, so you should make sure that when looking through lab reports an accredited laboratory has been used, as this means that it will have adhered to rules and regulations. You should look out for the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) logo, as this is an accredited organization.

Check the Ingredients

You should be looking out for the ingredients that are within a CBD oil product before you buy it. While there are hundreds of different ingredients out there and it is impossible to give a comprehensive list of all the different things you would expect to see in a product, you should be entering the names of ingredients you don’t recognize into Google to find out if they are usually used in CBD oil products, and have a look at potential side effects too.

You should be looking out for products that use natural or organic ingredients, as this is likely to contribute towards a premium product that will increase how beneficial the CBD oil is.

If you are a new consumer in the currently flooded CBD oil product market, then you may find it difficult to know what to look out for when shopping for the best available products. But by following these guidelines and using other resources to investigate ingredients, you will be able to find a safe product that suits your needs.
