Foundation Trust Membership

Foundation Trust members elect the Governors, and the Governors appoint appoint (and can dismiss) non executive directors to the board of the Trust.  Foundation Trusts are public benefit corporations. Governors hold the non executive directors to account for the performance of the trust on behalf of the members. In theory.

You can become a member of your local trust and support socialist candidates. As the NHS comes under pressure this may become an important battleground.

All these trusts have a membership category for “The rest of England” (and sometimes Wales), so anyone with an address in England can join. It doesn’t cost anything.
