Education & Research Centre

Wythenshawe Hospital’s free Health Matters talk this month is on the history of the NHS.

Some people think the NHS is under threat. But what exactly is the NHS? This is a historical discussion of ideas about the NHS since 1912. Come along and have your say.

Martin Rathfelder, Director of the Socialist Health Association, will be delivering the interactive talk. The Socialist Health Association is a Manchester-based campaigning membership organisation that promotes health and well-being and the eradication of inequalities by applying socialist principles to society and government.

The event is open to all and takes place on Wednesday 17 July from 12-1pm at University Hospital of South Manchester NHS Foundation Trust’s (Wythenshawe Hospital) Education & Research Centre. Refreshments available from 11.45am.
