Rather to my surprised we’ve discovered that our proposed meeting in Wallasey on 31st January clashes with something already organised nearby – details below. So we will postpone our meeting and I will let you know shortly when our meeting will happen.

Do you live in Wirral? What’s happening to our health services?

(The second of two public meetings.)

A packed public meeting in Birkenhead in December heard how the NHS is undergoing dramatic changes and suffering major cuts since the Health and Social Care Act became law.

Local residents are concerned about changes to our health system. Does that include you? Then come along to the next public meeting organised by Defend Our NHS:

*Thursday 31st January 2013, The Lauries Centre, Claughton Road, Wirral CH41 6EY (opposite the new ASDA), 7.00pm-9.00pm (latest). Bar available later.*

The meeting will:

§Hear about the changes from Dr Phil Jennings, Designate Chair, Wirral Clinical Commissioning Group, and Dr Alex Scott-Samuel, a local doctor and a member of Keep Our NHS Public (who have been sent a list of questions from the first meeting)

§Give you a chance to respond and ask further questions

§Obtain information about changes to the NHS nationally and locally

§Discuss how the public and patients should get involved in having their say

Invitations have been issued to all Wirral MPs and other individuals and organisations

  1. George Nieman says:

People,of this Nation have paid into the NHS all of our working lives and continue to do so. It is therefore not for sale. No government has the right to make any extreme changes to our NHS without the people (the voters) agreement.
Do you have any seats left for either meeting?

  2. Martin Rathfelder says:

Once we have a new date for our meeting it will be advertised

What do you think?
