  3. Matters arising:
    1. Agreed procedure: Any Central Council member who wants a decision on a matter of policy which cannot wait for the next scheduled CC meeting may request that the officers arrange an electronic ballot. The proposition to be decided must be published on the website and emailed to all SHA members, who will be invited to make comments on the website. A time scale will be published at the same time for receipt of comments and for a poll of CC members. An absolute majority of CC members (21 at present) in favour will be required for a policy to be adopted. Any policies decided in this manner will be reported to the next CC meeting.

    3. Tackling the hazards to health posed by air pollution
    4. SHA’s policies explored
    1. The NHS Reinstatement Bill:  successfully presented in the House of Commons on 13th July, by Margaret Greenwood, Labour MP for Wirral West. A second reading was scheduled for 4th November 2016.
    2. Commission on the NHS
  6. Resignation of our President
  7. Suggested amendment to clause 7 of the constitution for consideration (not decision)
