Child Poverty
The SHA applauds the government's commitment to abolishing child poverty because of, among other things, the major impact this will have on the future health and well being of the nation. However, we consider that the timescale for achievement of 20 years is far too long and urge the government to take steps to shorten this by at least 50%.
